ACT Study Plan: Week-by-Week Schedule | LearnByTeaching.ai
This 10-week ACT study plan is designed for students who want a structured, manageable approach to raising their composite score. The plan covers all four required sections (English, Math, Reading, Science) with built-in practice tests and pacing drills to address the ACT's famously tight time constraints.

Rest & Review Strategy
Take at least one full day off per week, ideally Sunday, to rest and recharge. On rest days, avoid all ACT material to prevent burnout. If you feel overwhelmed during the week, swap a study session for a light flashcard review instead of pushing through fatigue.
Adjustment Tips
- 1
If you score within 2 points of your target on the first practice test, consider shortening the plan to 8 weeks by combining weeks 6 and 7.
- 2
If one section is significantly lower than others, dedicate an extra week to that section by extending the plan to 11 weeks.
- 3
Heritage English speakers who score well on English can reduce English practice time and reallocate it to Math or Science.
- 4
If pacing is your main issue rather than content knowledge, replace some content study sessions with additional timed drills.
- 5
If you are also preparing for the optional Writing section, add 30 minutes of essay practice twice per week starting in Week 7.
Final Week Protocol
Day 1
Monday: Take your final full-length practice test under strict test-day conditions, including breaks.
Day 2
Tuesday: Score the test and review only the questions you got wrong — note patterns, not individual facts.
Day 3
Wednesday: Do a light review of your formula sheet, grammar rules, and top 10 most-missed concepts.
Day 4
Thursday: Review your pacing strategy for each section and do one short timed drill on your weakest section.
Day 5
Friday: Prepare test-day materials (ID, calculator, pencils, snack) and confirm your test center location and arrival time.
Day 6
Saturday: Rest completely — no studying. Do something relaxing and get to bed early.
Day 7
Sunday (Test Day): Wake up early, eat a good breakfast, arrive at the test center 30 minutes early, and trust your preparation.
