Rest & Review Strategy
Take one full rest day per week and avoid intensive study the evening before each practice test. On rest days, immerse yourself in English through movies, podcasts, or reading for pleasure rather than test prep materials. This passive exposure builds fluency and listening stamina without causing burnout.
Adjustment Tips
- 1
If your Listening score lags behind, add 20 minutes of daily podcast or BBC listening practice outside of study time.
- 2
If Writing is your weakest section, prioritize Task 2 improvement as it is worth twice the marks of Task 1.
- 3
If you are preparing for General Training rather than Academic, swap graph description practice for letter writing practice in Week 3.
- 4
If your current level is below B1, extend this plan to 12 weeks and spend the first 4 weeks on foundational English skills.
- 5
If Speaking anxiety is an issue, practice with a conversation partner at least 3 times per week to build comfort with live interaction.
